Headline Acts Announced For Reading And Leeds Festival 2024

Reading and Leeds festival have announced their headline acts for 2024. Six headliners have been revealed, including Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Ray, Blink-182, Fred Again, Gerry Cinnamon and Catfish & The Bottlemen all set to top the bill. 

The event will take place between 21 and 25 August, and tickets and coach hire packages will be on sale from 30 November.

Lana Del Ray, Fred Again and Gerry Cinnamon will all be making their debut in the R+L headline slot. Fred Again began his career as a backroom music producer before progressing to an underground dance act and then breaking through into the mainstream over the past couple of years.

Gerry Cinnamon is a Scottish singer and songwriter and acoustic guitarist who reached number one in the UK album chart with his second album, The Bonny, in 2020. He is a huge star in Scotland and he has previously played R+L in 2021. 

Lana Del Ray is already a major star who is currently touring her album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Her Glastonbury set was cut short this summer when she failed to turn up on time, although her performance was highly acclaimed. 

Her breakthrough 2011 single ‘Video Games’ launched her career, and she has subsequently had six number one albums in the UK. Other hit songs include ‘Summertime Sadness’, ‘West Coast’ and ‘Say Yes to Heaven’. Her eclectic style fuses vintage soul, hip hop, and country. 

The US band Blink-182 will be headlining for the first time since 2014, and are best known for their hit songs ‘All the Small Things’ and ‘What’s My Age Again?’ They formed in California in 1992 and broke into the mainstream in 1999 with their accessible post-punk style.

He added: “I am very proud that the biggest artists in the world choose to play Reading & Leeds and to have three incredible UK festival exclusives – the electrifying Fred again.., a true generational talent Lana Del Ray and the legendary Blink-182.”

“The iconic Liam Gallagher will return to play an all-time classic album ‘Definitely Maybe’ which will be a special moment indeed. We pride ourselves on nurturing artists from the early stages in their career, so to see acts like Catfish & The Bottlemen rising through the festival to headline for the second time is very rewarding.”

He added: “2023 was a hugely successful year for attendance and sensational audience feedback, and we are eager to build upon this success even further at the UK’s biggest and best music festival.”

The other acts for the festival announced so far include Digga D, Raye, Skrillex, and Spiritbox.
