Reasons To Visit Albert Dock Liverpool This Year
Albert Dock Liverpool is one of the city’s top attractions, giving visitors a chance to explore what is the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the country, with a history that dates back over 170 years.
While the buildings themselves are impressive, that probably isn’t enough of a reason for you to organise coach hire to Liverpool and get a group of friends together to come and see Albert Dock for yourselves. But the area’s programme of events just might be.
2018 will see a host of events taking place in this historic quarter of Liverpool, and give you an excuse to spend a few days in the city.
Heritage on the Dock will take place from 5 to 8 April, where visitors will be able to join free walks and workshops, as well as listen to live music, all of which celebrates the area’s unique heritage.
In May, meanwhile, there are two big events to look forward to – the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta and Steam on the Dock. The former showcases beautiful ocean-going vessels and the latter is a celebration of steam power, displaying steam engines, boats and plenty more besides.
As we move past the summer and into September, the ever-popular Pirates on the Dock will return to Liverpool, with swashbuckling antics planned for 15 and 16 September. There will be live action ship battles, the pirates and mermaids parade and plenty of sea shanties.
Marketing manager at Albert Dock Liverpool Claire Rawlinson commented: “Each festival is growing and will come back in 2018 bigger and better than before.”
