Top Christmas Events Kids Will Love
Christmas is fast approaching, which means it’s time for parents to get out their calendars and plan their festive celebrations before December 25th. To help you, we’ve put together our pick of the best Yuletide events your kids are sure to love this year.
Lapland UK
Visiting Lapland UK is the ultimate Christmas experience and well worth doing if you haven’t got many more years of your little ones believing in Santa. This immersive event is second only to the real Lapland and will re-ignite their imagination, making the magic of Christmas feel real.
After receiving a personalised invitation from Father Christmas, they can explore the Enchanted Forest where the elves live; discover what goes on in the toy factory; get creative in Mother Christmas’ kitchen; and enjoy visiting the Elven Village where they can ice-skate, meet huskies, tuck into a warm hot chocolate, buy decorations and send a letter to Santa at Elva’s Post Office.
Finally, they will be able to meet Father Christmas himself in his cosy wood-cabin. All children will receive a toy to open on Christmas morning, which they helped the elves make during their visit.
Chessington World Of Adventure’s Winters Tail
Parents can also buy tickets to Chessington World Of Adventure’s Winters Tail from November 27th to January 3rd 2022. Here, they can expect to enjoy the theme park’s iconic rides, get close to its furry animals, visit Mrs Christmas’ kitchen for a festive cookie, join the audience at the Wild Christmas Panto, listen to the magical story of Elmer’s Christmas on the Mini Stage, and, of course, visit Father Christmas’ Grotto and Toy Workshop.
There’s even the chance to book the VIP Ultimate Christmas Package, which also includes priority ride access, a souvenir photo, four hours with a personal host, a gift from Santa, better seating at the shows, and a special animal experience with the zoo’s creatures.
East Lancashire Railway Santa Specials
Combine the anticipation of seeing Father Christmas with the excitement of travelling on an authentic steam train if you book one of East Lancashire’s Railway Santa Specials.
On this trip, you get to travel through the beautiful countryside of the north-west on the vintage locomotive while enjoying music and entertainment from the elves. Children will be thrilled to see Santa make his way through the carriages, giving them a special present while mums and dads get into the Christmas spirit with a mince pie and festive tipple.
After the train has pulled into the station, families can explore the old-fashioned station at Bury Bolton Street. The traditional Victorian station has been preserved well, making you feel as though you’ve just stepped back in time. Decorated with fairy lights and more than 200 Christmas trees brings the 19th Century building to life and fuels the excitement of a traditional, old-fashioned Yuletide.
Make sure you book your transport after you’ve arranged this year’s Christmas events, from coach hire in London to trains heading up north.
