UK’s Top New Year’s Eve Destinations

Matt Crisp December 30, 2017

If you want to see in 2018 in style, you’ll be looking for the best destinations across the UK for New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Here are our pick of the top locations for a NYE party, so you can start booking your coach hire today.

At the top of our list has to be Edinburgh, with the Scottish capital renowned for its Hogmanay celebrations.

People from all over the world descend upon the city for December 31st, as the streets light up with fireworks, and fill with entertainment shows, music performances and arts events.

You can expect festivities to last for several days, whether you want to enjoy street parties, watch torchlight processions, or attend the famous Concert in the Gardens, which Lily Allen is headlining this year.

– London

Those who normally see in the new year at home are probably familiar with watching the celebrations at London’s South Bank. So why not be there in person this year?

You can take a look at the spectacular firework display over Big Ben and the London Eye along with thousands of other spectators.

And should you not be too tired the following day, why not watch the New Year’s Day parade taking place throughout the capital, which will see 10,000 performers from around the world take part?

– Newquay

Famous for its waves in the summer, this surfers’ hotspot is also a favourite on NYE. Here, the new year is celebrated in a traditional manner, with Aud Lang Syne being sung by thousands of people in the central square at the stroke of midnight.

Attendees wear all sorts of fancy dress in the Cornish town, and as the new year begins, everyone gets sprayed with fake snow. What a way to see in 2018!
