Who Is Performing At Glastonbury 2022?

After being cancelled for the last two years in a row due to the pandemic, Glastonbury is set to return in 2022. The event is the largest music festival in the UK and has attracted hundreds of huge names over the years, as well as hundreds of thousands of music fans who will be descending on the village of Pilton in Somerset this summer.

So far the only acts who have been confirmed to appear at the festival are Billie Eilish and Diana Ross, but as well as Michael Eavis saying that many of the acts that were booked for the 2020 festival will be returning, and there are rumours of a reformed Oasis headlining, according to TheFestivals.uk.

The Mancunian band split up in 2009 after Liam allegedly threw a plum at his brother’s head, and last played Glastonbury’s famous Pyramid Stage in 2004.

Some of the names who were scheduled to appear at the 50th anniversary of the festival in 2020 included Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and Paul McCartney, but there has been no official confirmation at the time of writing.

When is Glastonbury Festival 2022?

Glastonbury is always held on the last weekend of June. Traditionally, the festival has a ‘fallow year’ every five years to give the land time to rest and recover.

For 2022, Glastonbury Festival will take place from Wednesday 22 June to Sunday 26 June.

Where is Glastonbury Festival?

Despite its name, Glastonbury Festival is actually in the Somerset village of Pilton at Worthy Farm. The site is still a working farm owned by the festival’s founder Michael Eavis.

When do Glastonbury tickets go on sale and how much do they cost?

General sale tickets for Glastonbury normally go on sale in October with the ticket resale happening in April. Tickets are currently sold out for the 2022 festival, but depending on how many people give up their tickets, there could be a resale in April.

However, you must be registered via Glastonbury Festival’s website ahead of time to be eligible to buy tickets.

The price of a ticket changes yearly, and in 2022 tickets cost £280 per person plus a £5 booking fee.

Who is on the lineup for Glastonbury 2022?

The full lineup for Glastonbury 2022 is yet to be released but Billie Eilish was the first artist to be confirmed, and she has been booked to headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night, which will also make her Glastonbury’s youngest ever headliner.

The only other confirmed artist for the festival is Diana Ross, who will be performing the coveted Sunday legends spot, also on the Pyramid Stage.
